Cosmic Vistas: A New View
Space has always had a way of making us feel small and curious in equal measure - and Cosmic Vistas: A New View, a reboot of the beloved Blue Ant Studios franchise, leans fully into that feeling. The eight-episode series takes on the biggest leaps in modern space exploration, using new imagery to carry viewers across the cosmos in a way that feels closer to a front-row seat than a classroom lecture.

Each episode weaves together three separate stories drawn from the ongoing race to understand the universe, whether that's a mission pushing the edges of technology or a discovery reshaping what we thought we knew about our place among the stars. It's less a highlight reel of space facts and more a series of case studies in human ambition and ingenuity.

What separates this version from its predecessor is the breadth of voices doing the explaining - the reboot draws on a wide range of space experts to walk viewers through each story, aiming for insight that lands on a human level rather than a purely technical one. The tone stays grounded even as the visuals go big, balancing wonder with clarity.
The series premiered August 7, 2026 on BBC Earth in Canada and airs new episodes Fridays at 10PM ET/PT, with a later run planned on Blue Ant's streaming channel Declassified.
Cosmic Vistas: A New View ultimately does what the best space documentaries do: it makes the unimaginable scale of the universe feel personal, urgent, and worth paying attention to.
